Q: i have waxed my legs a few times but still i get alot of hair growing back i have never shaved and i'm 15 years old is there another way of getting rid of unwanted hair??? thanx by the way ur site is really good and u give some good answers
A: Waxing is your best bet. Hair will grow back - but after a few years the growth will diminish, and hair will keep growing back at a slower pace. Also, scrub your legs GENTLY with a pumice stone after applying soap, when taking a shower. Do this daily. It helps combat in-growths and retards hair growth.
Q: If you wax regularly, How long before the hair will stop growing completely?
A: It differs from person to person, but it takes a number of years. Also, the hair doesn't stop growing completely. What happens is hair growth reduces a lot, and you need to wax less and less frequently. So, if you start waxing when you are around 13 years of age, and if you wax regularly without shaving, then when you are around 35 to 40 years old you may need to wax just once in 4 to 5 months. Also, in certain areas like in your underarms, hair growth may reduce a lot more than in other areas.
Q: I recently waxed my arms. The hair grew back and now it feels very spiky. I waited for it to grow all the way out and it is still prickly. I hate the way it feels and it is very embarrassing. Is there any way I can make the hair smooth? If I keep waxing will it get smoother?
A: Keep waxing it regularly. The hair will grow out spiky, but not as spiky as when you shave. Also, the hair will take longer and longer to grow out over a period of time.
Q: Hi, I have a question. I've been wanting to wax my legs for a while, and my arms. The hair on my arms, I do not like and i was wondering will my arm hair grow very thicker or will it grow thiner? Is it safe to wax my arms and legs?
A: It is perfectly safe to wax arms and legs. Millions of women, especially in India, have been waxing their arms and legs for years. I have to say that hair grows thicker after waxing, but over the years you will need to wax less often, because hair growth slows down. Remember though that you will not be able to wax very short hair, and will need your hair to grow out partially before you can wax it again.
